Hello world!
I am excited to start learning to use a blog (in general) and also to use the blog to help with buzz marketing for the website I am beginning to build at biancadog.com.
My adventure began in March when I came across a website run by a terrific person, Yanik Silver. His site is surefiremarketing.com. From visiting that site I was invited to join an amazing learning experience (since I was a total newbie to internet marketing) called the "Underground Online Marketing" Seminar. Because the idea of a home-based business appeals to me, I decided to take a chance and go to the seminar held in April '05 in Washington, D.C. I haven't looked back or regreted for one second that decision. Besides meeting other wonderful people (I'll name many eventually) who were, like myself, attendees, I had the great pleasure of meeting many experts and learning overwhelming amounts of new information.
As a former high school chemistry teacher, I love challenge, and I've found it! Prior to the seminar I had established the website, biancadog.com. You can go there and you'll think, "pretty lame", and it is. But I am learning and will produce a more impressive version with the help of my fantastic teacher, Morgan Westerman. Morgan is a master at many things, including making every one of his students feel important and valued. He heard me ask a question at the seminar about a video I have of my dog saying, "I love you". Ok, she is barking it out, but everyone that hears her do it laughs and says, "She did say it!". Morgan's talk at Yanik's seminar was on Buzz Marketing. After his talk I spoke to him about my website and the possibility of including this video for the purpose of creating BUZZ. He thought it might be possible. Now Morgan isn't just anyone on the internet. He is the genius behind the most gorgeous and motivating site (I have ever seen) called, "The Interview With God". Just go to Google, type in, "God", and Morgan's fabulous site, is (as I type) number twelve, or so, out of 61 MILLION sites! He was number one in April, but because he is so busy speaking and teaching, I suppose he has had less time to keep up the search engine optimization aspects of his site. Even if you've seen it many times, go visit it again. You'll notice something different each time. Again, the site is: http://www.theinterviewwithgod.com.
Morgan started this site for himself and to share with others. He only started marketing it after so many people asked him if he could turn it into a screensaver. As of April he had over 500,000 registered viewers and has sold many hundreds of thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, digital and otherwise. After I returned from D.C.and the online marketing conference, I received both a handwritten note and a phone call from Morgan inviting me to join his class of about 20 people to learn Buzz Marketing. What an unbelievable experience this course has been. More about that in future posts. We have had numerous teleconferences, some of which I have heard live, but many of which I've missed due to my mother's hospitalization for back surgery (due to severe osteoporosis because of her chronic prednisone dosage). Ok, I'm getting off the subject!
Yesterday, Morgan's guest on the line, was the fantastic author, Susannah Gardner, who wrote the Dummies book, "Buzz Marketing with Blogs for Dummies." It is thanks to her, and Morgan's great interviewing and questioning of her, that I am able to start this blog and include all of these links. Many thanks to both of you!!
Jeff Johnson, of search engine voodoo.com was the first person I ever heard use the word blog in terms of blog and ping for search engine optimization. That was an eye opener and I still have much to learn. After accomplishing this beginning, I am encouraged!
I WOOF YOU!!

You are the cutest, smallest dog I have ever seen? Can I have one just like you. I hear you say, "I love you". How cute!
